Before uploading an image into Simplweb, you need to know its file
size and dimensions. If your image file does not yet meet Simplweb's
image size standards, you'll need to edit your image first. If you need
help in editing the image to meet these standards, please see our Image
Manipulation Tutorial (coming soon.)
The remainder of this tutorial assumes that you are using a Windows
operating system on your computer. If you don't know how to "right
click" using the Apple/Mac operating system, read this Mac tutorial on right-clicking.
To know the file size and dimensions of an image file, right click
on the image file and choose "Properties," which will open another
window that gives you this information about the image file. You might
also see this information about the image if you place the cursor over
the image file and hover over it for a second.
To get file size and dimension information about multiple image
files at once, view the files in a directory/folder that has "Details"
displayed. Place all your image files in a folder/directory and then
open that folder/directory. Choose "View" and then "Details" from the
menu bar at the top of the open window. You should see all your image
files displayed in a list with important information about each file to
the right of the file name.
