How to forward your domain

We highly recommend GoDaddy. Unlike many registrars, they provide all the needed features for your to successfully point your domain to Simplweb

You can use the URL provided in your email, such as mysite.simplwebsite.com, as much as you like. You will probably want to get a full domain name however. These are usually perceived as more professional. To do this you will need to make a small adjustment to where you have your domain name registered.

Simplweb uses advanced technology to make sure that all the SEO and pagerank is fully passed over. Visitors will never see your subdomain, only the domain you have registered.

To set up your domain there are two steps:

1. Set up the domain in your account

You will need to enter your registered domain in your account on simplweb.com.

Login to simplweb and go to the my-account tab.

Simplweb My Account tab

Then click on the link for forwarding your domain. You will then see a simple form to enter your domain.

Forward domain form

Simply enter your domain with no "www". Make sure you add the .com, .net etc.

Click submit and you should see that your domain has been saved.

Successful domain set up

Once you have set up your domain on simplweb.com, you need to correctly forward it from your registrar.

2. Setting up your Domain with your Registrar

In geek-speak, you need to create a CNAME record that points to www.simplwebsites.com (note the plural, its not simplwebsite.com).

We use this technique, along with technology on our servers, to ensure that all pagerank (for SEO) is carried forward to your Simplweb site.
