This "How to" assumes that you have already mastered the task of uploading images into Simplweb in the administrative backend, and learned how to insert them into a content article. If you haven't yet learned these important skills, please start with our Beginner Lesson 1D- Inserting Images into Your Content.
Most of the time, displaying information as article text
is going to be the easiest way to reach your website's audience, since your website
will open and display to anyone on the web who has basic computing
skills and tools. In theory, any article you put on your site will display in any browser.
However, there are times when it is easier for you, and for your
site visitors, to present documents not as a web page
but as a downloadable file such as a pdf, Excel spreadsheet, or
Microsoft Word document.
An example of this situation would be a restaurant that wants potential employees
to access an employment application, download it, and fill it out by
hand. Another example would be a business or organization that wants to
distribute a more complicated file like an Excel spreadsheet that
contains sortable financial information in it.
