Friday, 30 January 2009 16:51

Great content is important, but more and more, visitor interactivity is a critical feature of a modern web 2.0 website. We have added two new interactive features for Simplweb: Calendar and Comments.

As always, our goal at Simplweb is to help you create a successful website, we add more and better features for you on a regular basis. We seek out the best-of-breed extensions to include in our packages. We also pay careful attention to the feedback you give us and what you would like to see included in Simplweb.

Get Your Visitors to Leave Comments

Our first new feature is comments, a must for every website. We have included a professional commercial component, Jom Comment, the highly praised and popular comment system for Joomla. Jom Comment features track-back support and powerful tools to integrate richer links into your site, like showing side modules of the latest comments!

Why use comments?

  • Increase members and visitors participation in your website
  • Gain valuable feedback on each of your article
  • Increase visitor's trust. Comments show the world how other people value your content
  • Google loves new and updated content. Let your visitor to do that for you on auto pilot

Example of Comments

Powerful Multiuser Calendar

The second new feature is a powerful calendar system, JCal Pro. Many sites like schools and clubs need a robust calendar application. Like comments on a site, a calendar offers a vehicle for site visitors to add to the content and spreads the role of managing the site. JCal Pro offers:

  • Rich-text event formatting
  • Recurring and static events
  • Flexible event administration
  • Registered users can submit events but must be approved

Example of Calendar

Head on over to your site and look in the components menu and you'll see these features already activated. Over the next few weeks we'll be adding rich and detailed tutorials on how best to take advantage of these great new features for your site!
