There are many great free applications out there that can be integrated into your site. Things like Google webmaster tools,, or Google Apps for domain which gives your free domain branded email, or sophisticated tracking applicaitons like ClickTale.
Many of these require you to verify your site by placing a code snippet in the head. Here at Simplweb, we want to make things as easy as possible, so we added a new feature to all our templates where you can effortlessly add code into the of all your pages.

This week we updated all Simplweb sites to Joomla 1.5.12 using our SimplUpdate engine. We also pushed out a bug that was causing issues with daylight savings time on the installed calendar. Calender users please check the forum for a required change of setting.
As usual, the update happened behind the scenes and there was no downtime or interruption of service. Over 1,000 sites were updated.

One of our goals here at Simplweb is to provide a place where people can get help to build and grow a successful website. One of the ways we do this is through our forum, where you find us answering all sorts of questions about Simplweb, and websites in general.
We don't presume to corner the market on good ideas, though. Our customers include marketing experts, graphic designers, email consultants, and Internet entrepreneurs. Lots of people with lots of expertise, all gathered in the same spot helping each other.
We have our official feedback system, but often we get ideas from our customers that are so simple we immediately say "hey, great idea, let's do that."

Here at Simplweb we are excited to announce the creation of our 4,000th trial account!
When we first launched our turnkey website service last year, there was strong consensus among our team that it should be super easy to check out what we have to offer. No daft games trying or $1 trials. We had all sampled different web services that had "trials" that became a trial to cancel, resulting in unwanted credit card charges and headache phone calls to 800 numbers.
We were determined not to become one of those "credit card baiting" companies. So we made sure our free trial meant what it said. Totally free, full version, no strings attached. Each free trial gets a full version of Joomla created in seconds.

We love iContact because we believe it's the best email newsletter and marketing service out there. We use it ourselves, and even built into Simplweb several tools that make it easy to integrate a Simplweb site with an iContact list.
We love to promote iContact as the perfect companion service to your Simplweb site. And what does iContact think of Simplweb

At Simplweb, our greatest love is to help people build great
websites. As former educators and as parents, our team members greatly
enjoy watching sites grow and get better over time. We understand that
our customer's success is our success, and we can measure the health of
our business by the quality of our customer's websites.
Recently, one of our free trial users emailed us and asked us what kinds
of websites were being built at Simplweb. What types of businesses,
organizations, individuals, etc are using the Simplweb service?
It's a good question, and one we don't track daily, given the
hundreds of trial sites created every week. But the question reminded us
that it was time to do a quick roundup and categorization. Here's a
small sample of Simplweb sites in categories:

A few weeks ago we added a couple of major features to Simplweb sites, comments and a calendar. We are now looking for feedback at what you would like to see added next!
Based on our current feedback it looks like the one of the most popular choices is a greater selection of templates, but we want to work harder to provide features that you really want, and will help you build successful websites.
To that end, we have set up a voting system, simply log into Simplweb.com and in the left column you'll see a ticker where you can submit new ideas, and vote or comment on others.

Recently there have been a lot of support inquiries on how to setup sites on SimplWeb with domains that do not use WWW. We listened, we tinkered, tested, then updated our system to fully support domains both with WWW or without WWW. The choice is yours:
