In the first few weeks of launching, we have implemented several great features for your Simplweb sites:

Advanced editor
Email Newsletter Marketing
Flash Image Rotator

We are now planning out roadmap for new features to add, and we need your help!

Please select your 3 most desired features you would like to see. If you would like something not listed, please post it!

I'm going to be really stumped beacuse I didn't realise that I would not be able to add 3rd party extensons to my simpleweb site once I have developed it. My buisness is online education and my site is to be an e-learning portal: essentially it will need an LMS, a members area and a shopping cart.

Of course I realise you can't support everything, but I expected that with unsupported extensions, their own developers would have support and forums available.

Will I have to develop these elsewhere and link out to them?

Thanks for posting...

We probably will not be considering a true shopping cart any time soon.

You are correct in that you could pass to other sites for payment, like 2Checkout.

We are currently considering an LMS membership site package. We'll keep you posted!

What do the X marks mean in the poll results? I see them next to Social Network, Shopping Cart and Calendar.

I'm laughing, because I am always begging for help with Joomla, but I know this one! I feel like I got an answer on Jeopardy at last!
The X's show up next to the ones you selected when you responded to the poll. Your votes, in other words.

I'd also like options associated with elearning on my site, By the way, so thanks for thinking of this. Hope a subscription area is available soon. Great work, you guys. You are working hard for us, this hosting service, and it benefits all the Joomla Universe.

I'm another fan of the paid subsrciptions option, and I'd also like to see more color options in the existing templates at least.

This would be a great idea and something I'd be more than willing to BETA test!

To clarify, by LMS I mean user profiles, forum and a paid subscription firewall. Joomla can take care of almost everything else.

Fatal error: Class 'JText' not found in /home/simplweb/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/application.php on line 576

FYI, if one tries to log in to the forum unsuccessfully (ie wrong UN/PW) the above is displayed on an unstylized page.

Now to the good stuff!

I would like to see a Google compatible sitemap generator a la Joomap:

What say you!?

Hi Barrie,

I'm looking at setting up a photoblog but it currently seems a little limited when it comes to managing a large number of pictures. I don't want to have to create a separate article for ever photograph but I would like to let users comment on each picture. It would be really handy if the comment functionality could open with a gallery picture. So I could upload all portraits, for instance, and then show them as a gallery and when the user clicks the image it oppens with a comment window. Not sure if this is viable but I am looking for that kind of solution...

Hi Brad,

I am not sure this would be possible. Are there any 3rd party services like Flickr that do this?

yeah I've tried pictobrowser but it's really just a gallery viewer. I'm looking for a full fledged photo blog like pixelpost or wordpress...

Isn't wordpress the same as us. You'd have to put each image in its own "post"...
